Oct. 5, 2006

The 2006-07 season of Big Ten men's and women's swimming and diving takes to the pool Friday, Oct. 6, with Wisconsin hosting UW-Green Bay in its first dual meet of the season.

The men's squad, who finished seventh in last year's conference championships, will be led by lone senior, captain Tom Molzahan.

On the women's side, the Badgers will look to capture its fifth consecutive top-15 finish at the NCAA Championships this season and will be led by 2005-06 All-American, Yi Ting Siow, who placed sixth in the nation in 200-yard breaststroke after claiming that same event title at the 2006 Big Ten Championships.

The remaining league schools begin their 2006-07 campaigns in the coming weeks.
