Park Ridge, Ill. - The 2010-11 season of Big Ten women's swimming and diving begins Friday, Oct. 8 with six conference teams in action. Five teams will open their campaigns at home, while one squad will hit the road. Iowa will take to the water to host Truman State on Friday, while Milwaukee travels west to meet Wisconsin with a 5 p.m. ET contest. Minnesota is set to open the season as the Gophers travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., to meet Michigan in a 5 p.m. ET dual meet. Minnesota will travel to East Lansing, Mich., on Saturday to face Michigan State, and Illinois hosts Nebraska at Noon ET.

Penn State is slated to begin its season next Saturday when the Nittany Lions head to Morgantown, W. Va., to meet West Virginia on Oct. 16. Defending Big Ten Champion Indiana will dive into the 2010-11 campaign in a conference matchup as the Hoosiers meet Northwestern on Friday, Oct. 22. Purdue will return to the water on Oct. 22, while Ohio State returns Oct. 30.
