Swimmer and Freshman of the Week 
Mackenzie Padington, Minnesota
Campbell River, B.C., Canada – Claremont Secondary
• Recorded two NCAA B Standard qualifying times in the 200- and 500-yard freestyle at 1:46.85 and 4:47.77, respectfully, and a first place finish in the 200-freestyle relay (22.48)
• Posted the 13th best time in school history in the 200-yard freestyle and the 18th best time in the 500-yard freestyle in her first collegiate swim as a Golden Gopher
• Earns her first career Swimmer of the Week and Freshman of the Week honor

• Last Minnesota Freshman of the Week: Lindsey Horejsi (Dec. 7, 2016)

Diver of the Week
Jacintha Thomas, Iowa
Jr. – Iowa City – Iowa City West
• Earned first place in the one-meter (307.60) diving event in Iowa’s meet against Michigan State and Northern Iowa
• Recorded an NCAA zone qualifying mark, a career best mark and the 7th best score in school history in the one-meter event
• Earns her second career Diver of the Week award and the first of the season
• Last Iowa Diver of the Week: Thelma Strandberg (Dec. 14, 2016)
