Swimmer of the Week

Carly Piper, Wisconsin
SR, Grosse Point Woods, Mich./North
Piper earns her fifth career Swimmer of the Week honor after helping lead her team to a 243-108 win over Iowa last week.  The senior posted two NCAA provisional qualifying marks, finishing first in both the 200 and 500-yard freestyle events with times of 1:50.37 and 4:49.80, respectively.  Piper won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 9:59.59, finished third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.37 and also swam on the 200 and 400-yard freestyle relay teams that finished third and first, respectively. 

Diver of the Week

Lisette Planken, Iowa
SR, Amersfoort, Netherlands/Thorbecke and Melanchton
Planken earns Diver of the Week after breaking two school records with first-place finishes in both the one-meter and three-meter competitions in a dual meet against Wisconsin.  The senior posted personal collegiate bests with marks of 326.55 (1M) and 328.35 (3M).  This is Planken's fourth weekly accolade of her career.
