Swimmer of the Week

Annica Lofstedt, Indiana

Lofstedt collects Swimmer of the Week after posting two NCAA provisional qualifying marks and finishing first in four events in a winning effort against No. 23 Minnesota, 177.5-122.5. The junior's first-place finishes 100-yard freestyle (:50.80) events met the NCAA "B" standards while she was just shy of the :23.56 standard in the 50-yard and she won in :23.60. She also touched the wall first in the 100 free in :55.92 as well as contributing to a first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:45:51.


Co-Diver of the Week
Christina Loukas, Indiana

Loukas earns Co-Diver of the Week honors after posting scores well over the NCAA Zone Qualifying standard last week. In a dual meet against No. 23 Minnesota, the sophomore finished first in the one-meter board with a score of 335.55 and first in the three-meter event with 3:14.93. The defending Big Ten Diver of the Year eclipsed the Indiana school record in the one-meter event as well.


Carrie McCambridge, Purdue

SR, Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy

McCambridge was named Co-Diver of the Week after claiming first in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events in a 172-128 victory over Notre Dame. The three-time All-American recorded a personal best 339.60 in the three-meter while breaking Notre Dame's pool record (327.40). Her 300.07 one-meter performance was good enough for first place. She now owns all five Purdue varsity records in the one and three-meter dual; and one and three-meter championship and platform events.
