Swimmer of the Week
Susan Gilliam, Michigan

Gilliam earns her second career Swimmer of the Week honor after posting two NCAA automatic qualifying times against top 25 competition as the Wolverines finished fifth in a field of eight teams at the Boilermaker Challenge last weekend. In addition to No. 17 Michigan, seven other top 25 teams competed, including No. 3 Florida and No. 4 Texas. The sophomore won both the 500 and 1,650-yard freestyle events with "A" standards of 4:45.02 and 16:20.85, respectively. Gilliam also earned an NCAA provisional cut with her second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.61) and was part of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that posted a time of 7:28.16.
Diver of the Week
Nancilea Underwood, Iowa
JR, Spring, Texas/Oak Ridge
Underwood earns her first-ever Diver of the Week after earning a first and second-place finish in a Conference meet against Minnesota. The Hawkeyes fell to the Gophers by a score of 129-171, but swept the diving portion of the competition. The junior took first on the one-meter with a score of 304.35 and finished a close second to teammate Lisette Planken in the three-meter event with a mark of 320.10.
