The conference office announced on Tuesday the eighth weekly women’s swimming and diving awards for meets through Nov. 23-29.

Women’s Swimmer of the Week:
Megan Detro, Ohio State
Fr. | Carmel, Ind. | Carmel

Freshman Megan Detro contributed three top finishes for the Buckeyes last week as Ohio State improved to 2-0 with a convincing 128-68 win over Cleveland State Tuesday at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. The Carmel, Ind., native picked up her first win of the night in the 200 freestyle, touching the wall in 1:51.59, before adding a win in the 100 backstroke (58.30) during the second half of the meet. Detro also contributed to the winning 200 medley relay team, which turned in a time of 1:48.35 to extend the overall lead for the Scarlet and Gray. This is the first weekly award for Detro, who returns the swimming laurel to Columbus, Ohio, for the first time since Sam Cheverton accomplished the feat one year ago.
