Sulahian wins her first Big Ten Athlete of the Week award after helping No. 19 Michigan advance to its first ITA National Team Indoor Championship. Over the weekend, Sulahian won twice at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles, teaming up with Mimi Nguyen. Against No. 16 South Carolina on Friday, the sophomore came from behind to defeat Miljana Jocic, 5-7, 6-4, 7-5, to tie the match, 3-3, before Michigan won, 4-3. In Michigan’s 5-2 win over No. 18 Arkansas on Saturday, Sulahian defeated Valentina Starkova, 7-6, 6-3, for the match-clinching point. Sulahian and Nguyen defeated South Carolina, 8-0, and Arkansas, 8-3, as Michigan won the doubles point in both matches.
