Flower wins her first Big Ten Athlete of the Week honor of the season and second of her career. Over the weekend, Flower, ranked 53rd nationally, won three matches in straight sets at No. 1 singles as No. 33 Ohio State defeated three top 50 teams. On Wednesday against No. 34 Kentucky, the senior defeated Megan Broderick, 6-0, 6-3, in a 7-0 Ohio State win. Against No. 50 William & Mary on Friday, Flower knocked off Ragini Acharya, 6-2, 6-2, and against No. 23 Virginia on Sunday, she beat No. 72 Lindsey Hardenbergh, 7-6, 6-4 as the Buckeyes won both matches by scores of 5-2.
