Batty was undefeated last weekend in No. 1 singles and doubles, including straight-set victories over singles opponents from Marquette and Butler, and a three-set tiebreaker win over No. 85 Gergana Ganeva of DePaul. The senior captain and junior teammate Laura McGaffigan form the No. 37-ranked doubles team in the country, and posted a 3-0 record with 8-2, 8-1 and 8-3 victories last weekend. In her first season at No. 1 singles, Batty has posted a 6-2 record to go along with her 7-1 mark at No. 1 doubles so far this season. The No. 37 Hoosiers were 3-0 on the weekend, improving to a conference-best 7-1 overall.
This is Batty's second career Athlete of the Week honor.
