For the second straight year, the No. 2 Northwestern women's tennis team won the ITA National Team Indoor Championships with a 4-2 win over No. 11 North Carolina on Monday in Madison, Wis.
"Last season was special because it was the first one, but this year it was just so darn tough," said head coach Claire Pollard. "It was really just an unbelievable three days of tennis and we had to really dig deep every match. We've talked each day about what it takes to be a championship team and a championship player and I hope that helped."
