Michigan senior Whitney Taney picked up two singles and two doubles wins in team victories over No. 13 Notre Dame on Thursday and No. 18 Vanderbilt on Sunday en route to her third career Big Ten Athlete of the Week award. Taney and Rika Tatsuno teamed up at No. 2 doubles to defeat Notre Dame's Kristen Rafael and Chrissie McGaffigan, 8-3, to help the Wolverines earn the doubles point. Taney, ranked 61st in singles, then took down 78th-ranked McGaffigan at No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-0, propelling Michigan to a 4-3 win over the Fighting Irish. Taney and Tatsuno earned their second win of the weekend against Vanderbilt's Jackie Wu and Chelsea Preeg, taking the 8-2 decision at No. 2 doubles. Taney also picked up a 6-4, 6-2 singles win over 119th-ranked Lauren Mira to help the Wolverines defeat the Commodores, 4-3.
