Schuler, playing at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles last weekend, led the Boilermakers to wins over No. 57 Rice and No. 19 Kentucky by posting four wins.  On Friday, Schuler paired with sophomore teammate Brooke Beier to defeat their Rice opponents.  Schuler then followed that with a straight-set win in singles competition.  On Sunday, the Wildcats came to town and Schuler and Beier helped Purdue win the doubles point by winning a tough set 8-6.  The freshman then beat Joelle Schwenk in straight sets to gain a valuable point in the Boilermaker's 5-2 win.  The upset over Kentucky was Purdue's first win against the Wildcats since 1979.

The Athlete of the Week honor is the first of Schuler's career.
