Taney wins her second career Big Ten Athlete of the Week award and first of the 2010 season. She helped No. 8 Michigan knock off two ranked opponents over the weekend, including clinching the Wolverines win over No. 5 Baylor, Michigan's first-ever over a top-five opponent, by defeating No. 91 Taylor Ormand, 4-6, 7-6, 6-4, at No. 5 singles. The junior also helped Michigan to a 4-3 victory over No. 32 TCU by knocking off Gaby Mastromarino, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 5 singles, then teamed up with Rika Tatsuno for an 8-5 win over the TCU tandem at No. 1 doubles.
