Molnar earns her first Big Ten Athlete of the Week honor after helping the No. 54 Hawkeyes to a pair of wins over Missouri and No. 24 DePaul over the weekend. Playing at No. 1 singles and doubles for Iowa, Molnar defeated the Tigers’ Jamie Mera, 6-0, 6-4, then teamed with Merel Beelen to defeat the top Missouri team, 8-4. Against the Blue Demons on Sunday, Molnar and Beelen again teamed up at No. 1 doubles, this time knocking off the No. 10 tandem of Anna Redecsi and Selma Salkovic, 9-7. Later in the match, Molnar defeated Redecsi, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) to secure the clinching point as the Hawkeyes earned a 4-3 win.
