Purdue's Bhavani Tirumurti earns Big Ten Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in her career after leading the No. 57 Boilermakers past conference rival and 47th-ranked Indiana on Saturday. Tirumurti and teammate Imogen Golder picked up Purdue's lone doubles win, earning an 8-3 victory over the Hoosiers' Katya Zapadalova and Charlotte Martin at No. 3 doubles. The senior then downed Zapadalova, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3), to give Purdue a crucial point at No. 3 singles en route to a 4-3 Boilermaker win. Tirumurti has won eight of her last 10 singles matches and eight of her last 11 doubles contests.
