Molnar earns her second Big Ten Athlete of the Week certificate of the season and her career following a pair of wins over ranked opponents as Iowa went 2-0 last week. She helped the Hawkeyes to wins over No. 68 Wichita State and No. 33 Tulsa last week with two victories at No. 1 singles. Against Wichita State on Thursday, Molnar defeated No. 34 Lutfiana Budiharto, 6-2, 6-0, then took down No. 95 Alexandra Kichoutkin of Tulsa, 6-3, 6-1, on Saturday. The sophomore paired with Merel Beelen in doubles against both opponents, earning an 8-4 win over Tulsa’s 35th-ranked duo of JoAnne Karaitiana and Kichoutkin, and a 9-8 (7-5) victory against Wichita State’s 22nd-ranked team of Stephanie Dalmacio and Delia Damaschin.
