Northwestern's Lui Named Big Ten Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Lauren Lui won eight matches last week to help Northwestern to four team wins

	Lui won eight matches last week in both singles and double play in helping No. 1 Northwestern to four dual wins.

Lui won eight matches last week to help No. 1 Northwestern to four consecutive team wins. During each dual, Lui teamed with Georgia Rose at No. 1 Doubles to win all four of their matches against the top duos of Texas, Baylor, Purdue and Illinois. Individually, the Houston, Texas, native was a perfect 4-0 for the week at No. 4 Singles. Against the Longhorns, Lui won in straight sets over Caroline Larssen, 6-4, 6-3. In her second match of the week against Baylor's Jana Bielikova, Lui notched another win, 6-4, 7-5. In Big Ten action against the Boilermakers, the sophomore won her third match of the week over Joanna Craven, 6-0, 7-6. To round out the weekend, Lui finished strong with another convincing win in straight sets over Shivani Dave, 6-2, 6-4. This is Lui's second career weekly laurel.
