Muresan wins the first Athlete of the Week award of her career after leading eighth-ranked Michigan to a pair of wins last week, including a victory over No. 4 Northwestern on Saturday. Against the Wildcats, Muresan teamed with Tania Mahtani to defeat Stacey Lee and Linda Abu-Mushrefova at No. 3 doubles, 8-4. She then knocked off No. 13 Maria Mosolova at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-0, as Michigan won the match, 4-3, ending Northwestern's 81-match conference-winning streak. Against Wisconsin on Sunday, the junior again teamed with Mahtani to defeat Lauren Gruber and Jessica Seyferth, 8-6 before winning at No. 1 singles against Hannah Berner, 6-0, 6-2.
