Sophomore - Moscow, Russia - No. 204

Second-ranked Maria Mosolova went a combined 3-0 at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles to lead Northwestern to a pair of wins, including one against a third-ranked opponent last week. After Mosolova took the first set 6-3, her No. 35-ranked opponent, Kelcy Tefft, began to rally, going up a break at 4-2. The Wildcat sophomore then pulled even at four and the match remained notched in a tie until 6-6. Mosolova proved too much in the tiebreaker, where she won 7-2 to clinch NU's eighth win this year against a top-15 opponent. The Moscow, Russia native also won doubles matches against the Irish and Purdue, improving to 16-2 in dual play and helping NU win the doubles point for the 17th time in 18 matches.
