Cristelle Grier, Northwestern
JR, Epsom, England/Putney

Grier was one of four Wildcats to post a perfect 4-0 record over the weekend - driving Northwestern to a pair of 7-0 sweeps against Iowa and Minnesota.   She dropped a total of just eight games in singles action, improving her team-leading dual record to 17-2.  On Sunday against Iowa, Grier notched her 10th-straight singles win and 30th overall victory of the season.  She reached the 30-win mark for the third-consecutive year. Grier and doubles partner Audra Cohen - the nation's top-ranked tandem - posted a pair of dominating, 8-1 wins against the Golden Gophers and Hawkeyes. The duo has won 13 in a row and is a perfect 7-0 in the Conference.

This is Grier's fourth career Athlete of the Week selection, as she has now earned at least one honor in each of her three years at Northwestern.  She earned the weekly award twice last year, February 12 and April 28, as well as on April 2, 2003.
