Cohen etched her name in the Northwestern records books over the weekend, recording her 41st overall singles victory of the season to set a new school single-season wins record. Saturday, Cohen tied the benchmark of 40 -- set by Cristelle Grier in 2004 -- with a straight-set win over Purdue's No. 99 Hala Sufi. She then broke the record with another straight-set win over Illinois' No. 41 Cynthia Goulet. Cohen improved to 41-5 overall, 18-4 in duals and 9-0 in the Big Ten. In doubles competition, she teamed with Grier to record three wins last week, extending the duo's winning streak to 16. On Thursday against Notre Dame, Cohen and Grier -- the nation's top-ranked tandem -- handily beat Notre Dame's Catrina and Christian Thompson, 8-4. The Thompson twins were ranked fifth in the nation at the time. With a pair of 8-1 victories over Big Ten competition, Cohen and Grier improve to 31-2 overall, 19-2 in duals and 9-0 in the Big Ten.

This is Cohen's first career Athlete of the Week award.
