Northwestern and Michigan Will Play for Big Ten Title

No. 1 seed Northwestern defeated No. 4 seed Ohio State, 4-0, in the first semifinal match up of the Big Ten Women’s Tennis Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Madison, Wis. The Buckeyes finish their regular season with a 15-10 mark while the NU improves to 24-1. No. 2 seed Michigan triumphed over No. 3 Illinois, 4-3, in the second semifinal match up of the Big Ten Women’s Tennis Tournament on the campus of the University of Wisconsin. The Illini end their 2009 season with a 18-7 record while the Wolverines improve to a 17-5 overall mark. Northwestern and Michigan will meet at Noon CT on Sunday afternoon for the Big Ten title.
