All 12 conference teams travel to Columbus, Ohio, for the 2012 Big Ten Women’s Tennis Tournament. The tournament, hosted by Ohio State University, will begin on Thursday and conclude with the championship match on Sunday.

Matches begin at 10 a.m. ET on Thursday with eighth-seeded Penn State taking on ninth-seeded Ohio State and No. 5 Purdue going against No. 12 Michigan State. At 2 p.m., seventh-seeded Indiana will square off with No. 10 Wisconsin and No. 6 Minnesota will battle No. 11 Iowa.

Friday’s quarterfinals will begin at 10 a.m., with top-seeded Northwestern facing the winner of Penn State-Ohio State, and No. 4 Nebraska taking on the winner of Purdue-Michigan State. Second-seeded Michigan will take on Indiana or Wisconsin, while No. 3 Illinois will face the winner of Minnesota-Iowa at 2 p.m.

The tournament semifinals are scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The championship match will be played on Sunday at Noon and will be broadcast by BTN on May 9 at 6 p.m.

Northwestern has won each of the last 13 Big Ten Tournaments, and 14 overall, while Indiana has claimed 13 tournament crowns. Michigan and Wisconsin have each won one tournament title.
