April 26, 2007
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -With home court advantage behind them, the Minnesota Golden Gophers shut out Illinois 4-0 to solidify a spot in day two of the Big Ten tournament. With quick work of the doubles point, the Gophers effort came in to fruition when they swept the next three singles matches in straight sets.

But their efforts were abandoned when Lindsay Risebrough and Ashley Schellhas beat Megan Fudge and Emily Wang, 8-2. Gopher teammates Karina Chiarelli and Tijana Koprivica soon followed, clinching the doubles point for Minnesota at the third position.
