The No. 34 Illinois women’s tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to No. 16 Fresno State in the second round of the NCAA Championship at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex, falling one match short of the round of 16. The Orange and Blue wrap up an impressive season, amassing a 19-8 overall record and garnering the most wins for any Illini squad since 1991.
Top-seeded Northwestern is the only Big Ten squad to advance to the NCA A round of 16 and will return to tournament action on Friday, May 15, against the Fresno State Bulldogs in College Station, Texas.
