Michigan and Northwestern will represent the Big Ten in the NCAA Women's Tennis Championships, beginning on Friday. The Wolverines and Wildcats will each host first and second-round matches this weekend.

After winning the Big Ten Tournament, Northwestern earned its 16th-straight NCAA Championships berth and 22nd overall. The 16th-seeded Wildcats will host IPFW in the first round, scheduled for 1 p.m. CT on Friday in Evanston. The winner will advance to play either Fresno State or Notre Dame on Saturday at Noon.

Michigan enters the NCAA Championships as the No. 10 seed after earning its 13th tournament bid and 10th in a row. The Wolverines will welcome Akron to Ann Arbor for a first-round contest on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. The winner will see Nebraska or Tulsa in the second round, which is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The teams that advance out of this weekend's second round will compete in third-round matches on May 20 in Stanford, Calif. The quarterfinals are slated for May 22 while the semifinals are scheduled for May 23. The national championship match is set for May 24 and will be broadcast on ESPNU.
