Wildcats Earn Fourth-Straight Trip to NCAA Round of 16; Defeat Indiana, 4-1

EVANSTON, Ill. -- For the seventh time in head coach Claire Pollard's nine seasons -- and for the fourth-straight year -- the Wildcats are headed to the NCAA round of 16. The fifth-ranked 'Cats took the doubles point and three straight-set singles wins to defeat 24th-ranked Indiana Saturday at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center, 4-1.

NU awaits the winner of the four-team UCLA regional in the round of 16. The Wildcats will play their next match on Friday, May 18, at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex at the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.

The win improves Northwestern to 23-4 on the year while Indiana ends its season with a 21-7 record. Full Story
