NCAA Doubles and Singles Action Set to Kick Off

Northwestern's Georgia Rose and Samantha Murray along with Wisconsin's Caitlin Burke are set to represent the Big Ten in NCAA singles competition at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Wednesday May, 23. Rose, the Big Ten Athlete of the Year, received the conference's automatic qualification and will face Mississippi's Ilona Somers at 9 a.m. ET.

The Badgers will be represented by its No. 1 singles player Burke. Burke earned an at-large bid and the No. 42 seed in the tournament. She is scheduled to face Stanford's Jessica Ngyuen at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Freshman Samantha Murray also earned an at-large bid for the NCAA singles championships and will clash with Zsuzsanna Fodor of California at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Rose and Alexis Prousis start Northwestern's quest for its second-straight NCAA doubles title on Thursday May, 24.
