PARK RIDGE, Ill. – The 2011 Big Ten women’s tennis fall schedule begins this week with Nebraska taking to the court for the first time this season.  The Huskers travel to Des Moines, Iowa, to compete in the Drake Invitational from Sept. 9-11.

Six Big Ten teams make debuts the following weekend as Iowa and Wisconsin travel to Minnesota for the Gopher Invitational, Ohio State visits Dublin, Ohio, for the Muirfield Collegiate Tennis Invitational and Illinois and Purdue open their seasons in Durham, N.C., for the Duke Fall Invitational from Sept. 16-18.  

From Sept. 23-25, Michigan State welcomes defending Big Ten champion Michigan for the Spartan Invitational, Indiana hosts the adidas/Hoosier Classic and Penn State travels to Philadelphia, Pa., for the Cissie Leary Invitational.

Northwestern begins its campaign on Sept. 30 hosting the Wildcat Invitational.
