Big Ten Women's Tennis Opens Fall Play This Weekend

The 2012 Big Ten women’s tennis fall schedule begins this weekend with seven conference teams taking the court on Friday. Minnesota hosts seven teams, including Iowa, at the Gopher Invitational, while Illinois and Purdue travel to Durham, N.C., to compete in the Duke Invitational. Nebraska and Penn State make their way to Midland, Texas, for the Midland Invitational, and Ohio State heads to Dublin, Ohio, for the Muirfield Invitational.

Michigan begins action the following weekend, when it hosts the Wolverine Invitational Sept. 21-23. Indiana makes its debut next, when it welcomes teams to Bloomington for the adidas/Hoosier Classic Sept. 28-30.

Michigan State, Northwestern, and Wisconsin begin their campaigns on Sept. 29, when they head to Pacific Palisades, Calif., for the ITA All-American Championships.
