TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Aleesha Barber, Penn State
Fr., Decatur, Ga./Redan
Barber qualfied for NCAA Regionals in three events, all in facility-record times, as she led the Nittany Lions to a first-place finish at the Bucknell Team Challenge over the weekend. Barber began the meet by posting a career-best time in the 100-meter hurdles at 13.52, and followed the performance with a personal-low time of 58.54 in the 400-meter hurdles. The redshirt freshman's hurdles times rank second and third, respectively, on Penn State's all-time list. Barber concluded the event as part of the 4x400 relay team that clocked in first at 3:39.18. The award is the first of Barber's career in the outdoor season.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Erica Bailey, Michigan State
Sr., Milwaukee, Wis./Milwaukee High School of the Arts

Bailey surpassed two NCAA Regional qualifying standards at the Eastern Michigan Invitational last weekend, winning the hammer throw with a personal-best distance of 177'08". The senior posted her second event win in the shot put with a distance of 50'04.75". Both marks rank among the Big Ten's best this season. This is Bailey's first career outdoor honor.
