Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Amber Hay, Michigan
Jr., Detroit, Mich. / Renaissance

At the Len Paddock Invitational last weekend, Hay recorded the nation's 16th-fastest 400-meter hurdles in a personal-best time of 58.55.  Her winning mark sits atop the Big Ten leader board and also qualifies her for the Mideast Regional as she surpassed the standard by over two seconds.  The junior is honored with her first career weekly award.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Liz Podominick, Minnesota
Sr., Lakeville, Minn. / Lakeville
Podominick posted two first-place finishes in the shot put and the discus at the Minnesota Open last weekend.  Her shot put toss of 52-0.75 (15.87) was a season-best and currently ranks 21st in the country.  The senior hurled the discus to distance of 169-00 (51.51) which now stands as the 29th-best mark in the nation.  Both of her performances qualified her for the Midwest Regional competition.  The Lakeville, Minn., native garners her second weekly accolade of the season and her career.
