The 2011 Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by the University of Iowa at the Francis X. Cretzmeyer Track, is set to begin this afternoon and run through Sunday. Last year, Penn State won its third straight Big Ten Championship with 133.5 points. The Nittany Lions edged Minnesota, who finished second with 123 points, and third-place Wisconsin (101.50).
The three-day event begins today at 11 am CT with the men's pole vault and ends Sunday at 3:45 pm CT with the men's 4x400-meter relay.
