Minnesota Men, Penn State Women Defend Big Ten Championships

The final day of the 2010 Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the Robert C. Haugh Track and Field Complex at Indiana University saw the Minnesota men and Penn State women successfully defend their championships from a year ago. The Gophers finished with 145 points to win their second straight conference title, besting second-place Wisconsin which finished with 124 points and third-place Ohio State with 115 points.

The Penn State women took the team lead midway through the final day of competition and held on to win their third-straight Big Ten title. Finishing with 133.50 points, Penn State finished ahead of second-place Minnesota (123) and third-place Wisconsin (101.50).
