Big Ten Tracksters Continue to Advance in NCAA Championships

The second day of the 2008 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships have concluded with many Big Ten student-athletes advancing to the next round of competition.  Highlighting Thursday's action was Penn State's Gayle Hunter and Wisconsin's Katrina Rundhaug as they each were honored with a fifth-place medal for their work in long jump and 10,000 meters, respectively.  Action begins again on Friday at 1 p.m. CT with the women's heptathlon. 

CBS's College Sports Network will air coverage of the event on Friday from 7-10 p.m. CT.  For the third consecutive year, CBS will broadcast the meet's final competitions, airing live footage from 3-5 p.m. CT on Saturday.
