Suzy Favor Female Athlete of the Year Award Nominee -- Emily MacLeod, Michigan State

Through Friday, the Big Ten will highlight each of the 22 student-athletes nominated for the conference’s Jesse Owens Male and Suzy Favor Female Athlete of the Year Awards. Award winners are voted on by a pre-selected media panel and will be announced live on the Big Ten Network’s season-ending awards show on Monday at 6:30 p.m. CT.

EMILY MACLEOD – MICHIGAN STATE – CROSS COUNTRY/TRACK
MacLeod was named the Michigan State George Alderton Female Co-Athlete of the Year after being named the Big Ten Athlete of the Year and receiving All-America honors in cross country. She was also named the Great Lakes Region Athlete of the Year in cross country, and holds the Spartan records in the 1,500 and 5,000 meter runs. Click HERE for more information on Emily.
