Through Monday, the Big Ten will highlight each of the 24 student-athletes nominated for the conference’s Jesse Owens Male and Suzy Favor Female Athlete of the Year Awards. Award winners are voted on by a pre-selected media panel and will be announced live on BTN’s season-ending awards show on Monday at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Colleen Ward – Illinois – Volleyball
Ward led the Illini to a runner-up finish in the NCAA Tournament and a 32-5 overall record. A first-team All American, she was named to the NCAA All-Tournament, All-Big Ten and All-Mideast Region teams. Ward led Illinois with 20 aces and helped the team to its first ever No. 1 ranking in the AVCA Coaches poll. Click HERE for more information on Colleen.
