Through Friday, the Big Ten will highlight each of the 22 student-athletes nominated for the conference’s Jesse Owens Male and Suzy Favor Female Athlete of the Year Awards. Award winners are voted on by a pre-selected media panel and will be announced live on the Big Ten Network’s season-ending awards show on Monday at 6:30 p.m. CT.

BLAIR BROWN – PENN STATE – VOLLEYBALL
Brown left the Penn State women’s volleyball team as one of three Nittany Lion volleyball players to have earned a national championship each season of her career. She helped Penn State become the first]ever Division I women’s volleyball team to win four consecutive national titles. She was named the University Park Regional Most Outstanding Player and earned a spot on the NCAA Championship All]Tournament Team. Brown is a finalist for the AAU Sullivan Award and was the Honda Sports Award winner for women’s volleyball. A three-time AVCA All-American, Brown was the 2010 Big Ten Player of the Year.
