Ohio State's Gordon Captures Final Player Of The Week Honor For 2003

Gordon recorded her ninth 30-kill outing of the season when she racked up 30 strikes in just three games to lead OSU to a victory over Iowa. She followed with a 21-kill outing against Minnesota, giving her 51 kills in six games and an 8.5 kills-per-game average on the week. Gordon also tallied 13 digs against the Hawkeyes and 19 digs against the Gophers to average 5.3 digs per game for the weekend. With 708 kills in 107 games of overall play this season, Gordon set the all-time Big Ten kills-per-game record with an average of 6.62. She also climbed into seventh place on the League's career-kills chart with 1,956, and became Ohio State's career leader with a 5.75 kills-per-game average. Gordon has recorded double-figure kills in 89 of 91 career matches.
