Purdue's Kim McConaha has been named Big Ten Volleyball Player of the Week after helping the Boilermakers to the championship title of the Badger Challenge this past weekend. The senior middle hitter earned MVP honors after posting 37 kills, 24 digs and 11 blocks at the tournament.

The Boilermakers (3-0) defeated No. 12 Georgia Tech 3-1 on Friday and Missouri on Saturday, 3-2. McConaha turned in a dominant performance against Tech, as she served eight-straight points in final game against the Yellow Jackets and finished with a .463 hitting percentage. The win over Georgia Tech marked the first win over a top 15 team for Purdue since the 1993 season.

McConaha just missed a triple-double against Missouri, adding nine blocks to her 16 kills and 14 digs.  In the team's season opener against Butler on Wednesday, she posted 19 kills, 14 digs and seven blocks.  For the week, she averaged 4.31 kpg, 2.92 dpg and 1.38 blocks per game, while hitting .294.

This is McConaha's first career Conference Player of the Week selection.
