Harmotto earns the fourth conference honor of her career and her second of the season after posting a .556 hitting percentage as Penn State swept Michigan State and Northwestern over the weekend. Against the Spartans on Friday, the junior posted a career-high .917 hitting mark, racking up 11 kills on 12 errorless attacks. Harmotto set a new season high with 11 blocks in the match, also adding a service ace and three digs. For the weekend, Harmotto averaged 2.83 kills per game with three aces, five digs and a team-high 14 total blocks.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jeffers earns the first weekly conference award of her career after posting two personal bests as Wisconsin defeated Illinois and No. 10 Michigan on the road last week. In the Big Ten season-opener on Wednesday, Jeffers tied her career high with seven blocks, holding the Illini to .115 hitting on the match. The junior also contributed 13 kills as the Badgers earned a 3-1 victory. Jeffers increased her career high to eight blocks in a 3-0 win against the Wolverines on Sunday, posting five in the decisive third game. Jeffers averaged 2.14 blocks per game on the weekend, also recording 2.86 kills per game on .326 hitting. Led by Jeffers, the Badgers held opponents to a .128 hitting percentage on the weekend.
