Harmotto earns her first career Big Ten Player of the Week award after helping the No. 4 Nittany Lions remain the only undefeated team in the conference with road wins at Northwestern and No. 8 Wisconsin. Last Friday in Evanston, the freshman was virtually unstoppable, picking up 10 kills on an errorless 13 total attacks to hit a career-high .769, while also adding one dig and three blocks. The following night in front of close to 7,000 Badger fans, Harmotto led the team in kills with 13 -- one shy of her career high -- and hit .417 with four blocks.

For the weekend, Harmotto provided 3.83 kills per game, which ranked second on the team, while hitting an astounding .541 and averaging 1.17 blocks per game.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Anne Mastandrea, Purdue

Mastandrea earns the first Big Ten weekly honor of her career after averaging 6.83 digs per game against Michigan and Michigan State over the weekend. The Purdue sophomore also added 0.50 assists per game and made good on 98 percent of her service receptions.

Mastandrea has now led the Boilermakers in digs in 15 of the team's 17 matches, and has posted seven 20-plus dig totals. Her 22 digs against Michigan was the fourth-best three-game match tally in school history. The night before against the Spartans, Mastandrea posted 19 digs and one assist.

On the weekend, she recorded just one error on 62 reception attempts and helped seven Boilermakers to double-digit kill totals.
