Wilson helped the Nittany Lions remain perfect in Big Ten play, posting a combined .433 hitting percentage against Purdue and Indiana over the weekend. Against the Boilermakers on Friday, Wilson put down 10 kills on .421 hitting, also adding one block solo and four block assists. In a sweep over the Hoosiers on Saturday, the freshman racked up five kills on 11 errorless swings, also adding three solo stuffs and three block assists. On the weekend, Wilson averaged 3.0 kills, 2.2 blocks and 1.2 digs per game, combining for 4.5 points in each frame. The weekly award is the second of Wilson's career.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Stephanie Lynch, Purdue

Lynch anchored the Purdue block with 2.43 stuffs per game in a loss to No. 1 Penn State and a win over Ohio State on the weekend. The junior recorded five block solos and eight block assists in the Boilermakers' 3-1 win over the Buckeyes on Sunday, tying the second-highest blocks total (13) in a conference match this season. Lynch also contributed 2.71 kills per game on the weekend, including a .429 hitting percentage against the Nittany Lions on Friday. The honor is the second of Lynch's career and her first defensive accolade as she was named the conference's Player of the Week on Nov. 20, 2006, when she was also named National Player of the Week by the AVCA.
