Gordon earns Big Ten Player of the Week honors after helping No. 8 Ohio State to a pair of home wins over the weekend.  The Buckeye senior registered a career-high 27 digs as well as 30 kills and a .414 hitting percentage against Northwestern on Friday.  Her previous high was 23 digs, recorded at Purdue in 2003.  In game two, she hit .636 with 7 kills in 11 attempts and did not tally one error.  In game three, she posted double-figure digs (10) and then responded in game four with a .688 clip and an errorless 11 kills on 16 attempts.   Gordon nearly posted a double-double against Wisconsin as she finished with 19 kills and 9 digs, while hitting .375 against the Badgers. 

With 30 kills against Northwestern and 19 versus Wisconsin, Gordon extended her consecutive double-figure kill streak to 102 matches.  On the weekend, she averaged 7.0 kills and 5.14 digs per game in the two matches while hitting .398.

This is Gordon's fifth Player of the Week honor of the season and the 16th of her career.
