ROSEMONT, Ill. – Michigan’s junior outside hitter Carly Skjodt was named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division I National Player of the Week, announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

This is the second Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week in program history, with the other from Juliana Paz on November 24, 2009.

Helped the Wolverines knock off two consecutive AVCA Top-25 programs for the first time since 2015…Posted a pair of double-doubles in kills and digs for her seventh and eighth of the season…Nailed a match-high 17 kills over their in-state rivals while hitting .351…Tied for team-high with 12 digs…Finished with 16 kills and digs against Purdue, which were both team-highs.
