Penn State, Minnesota End Seasons in NCAA Regional Finals

Nebraska 3, Minnesota 2:  The ninth-ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers (26-8) fell one game short of third Final Four appearance in four years, as they dropped a five-game match to No. 1 Nebraska (31-1) by scores of 25-30, 22-30, 30-20, 30-25, 15-9 in the NCAA Regional Finals on Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Stephen O'Connell Center.
With the loss, Minnesota suffered its first NCAA Regional Final defeat in three trips, while Nebraska advanced to the Final Four for a second straight season. Full Story

Washington 3, Penn State 1:  The fifth-ranked Penn State women's volleyball team dropped a heartbreaking four-game contest (27-30, 24-30, 30-28, 26-30) to third-ranked Washington in the NCAA Regional Final in Seattle, Wash., Saturday night. The Nittany Lions end their season with a 32-3 overall record while the Huskies advance to the NCAA National Semifinals with a 29-4 mark. Full Story
