Five Big Ten women's cross country programs will be in action this weekend as three schools will run on their home turf.  Indiana hosts the IU Community 5K, while Iowa will run in the Hawkeye Region Preview and Purdue will take part in the Purdue Open on Friday.  Michigan State will travel to Mount Pleasant, Mich., for the Jeff Drenth Memorial on Friday as well.  The lone school in action on Saturday is Illinois at the Redbird Challenge in Normal, Ill.

Last year, conference champion Michigan led all league teams finishing sixth at the NCAA meet, while Big Ten individual champion Michigan State's Danette Doetzel paced all Big Ten runners, crossing the line in the eighth spot.
