Women's Cross Country Co-Runners of the Week

Bridget Franek, Penn State So., Hiram, Ohio/Crestwood

Franek dominated the field over the 4,000 meters at the Lock Haven Dolan Duels, finishing in 14:03.73--almost 20 seconds ahead of the next-fastest finisher--to record her first win of the season. The win marks the second straight year that Franek has opened the season with a win at Lock Haven. Franek's finish helped lead the PSU squad to a 167-25 win over Lock Haven University. The Hiram, Ohio, native earns her second Runner of the Week accolade.

Alissa McKaig, Michigan State Jr., Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran

McKaig finished the Jeff Drenth Memorial 5K in 17:37 to capture the individual title for the second year in a row. The Fort Wayne, Ind., native finished 13 seconds ahead of the next-fastest finisher. McKaig collects the second Big Ten Runner of the Week award of her career.

Men's Cross Country Co-Runners of the Week

Jeff See, Ohio State Jr., Middletown, Ohio/Middletown

See finished the Short Course Open 5K at Kent State in 15:14.5 to win the race, earning his first collegiate individual meet title. This is the Middletown, Ohio, native's first Big Ten Runner of the Week accolade.

Last OSU Runner of the Week: Alex Bailey (10/10/06)

Brian Fuller, Penn State Jr., Camp Hill, Pa./Cumberland Valley

Fuller edged teammate Teddy Quinn to win the individual title at the Lock Haven Dolan Duels, finishing the 6,000-meter course in 18:13.91. The win marks the first title of Fuller's career in PSU's 101-25 win over Lock Haven. This is the Camp Hill, Pa., native's first Big Ten weekly honor.
