With a 3K time of 10:25, Armstrong broke the Ashton Cross Country Course record, which was held by teammate Shannon Stanley by two seconds. The Hawkeye sophomore crossed the line first, while helping lead Iowa to a team victory over seven squads, including Big Ten opponent Illinois.
This is Armstrong's first career Big Ten Runner of the Week accolade.
